Case Study
COLLEAGUE // UX/UI Design for platform

I worked on this project on a 6-month contract basis as a part of my Master’s Capstone in partnership with the Education Lab of UW, in a group of 4 Human-Centered Designers (2 researchers / 2 designers).

Colleague is a project initiated by the EPAL (Education Policy & Analytics Lab) on the College of Education at UW, and funded by the NSF (National Science Foundation). The project uses big data and machine learning to support K-12 teachers to help them find high-quality lesson plans for the specific needs of each classroom.

My role:

  • UX/UI designer

  • Research: supported user interviews, surveys, co-design sessions, usability testing, analysis of insights, competitive analysis.

  • Planning: lead persona creation, context scenarios, user flows

  • Design: lead hi-fi mockups, interactive prototype, video prototype

  • Graphic design: lead style guide, brand

Timeframe: 6 months
